Is it feasible to build the custom home I want within my budget?
Yes, absolutely! Our customers are always in full control of their budget. We specialize in mid-range to high-end homes and work with our clients to ensure their custom built homes fit into their budget and expectations.
Can I choose any of my subcontractors?
Although we don’t recommend it, we allow homeowners to hire their own subcontractors as long as they are fully insured and can provide proof of their WSIB coverage. Our preference is to work with our network of trustworthy subcontractors who we know have a proven track record. Some of the subcontractors we work with have been part of the Amiri Homes team for over 25 years.
Will you work with my house plan and interior designer?
Yes, our work is always custom so we can accommodate designer requests. We also have a team of architects that we work with that can help you realize your luxury custom home dream.
How many homes do you currently have under construction?
We typically have between 8 and 10 homes under construction. This allows us to ensure the highest quality workmanship in the industry.
During construction, how often should I expect updates from you?
Everyone has different preferences. As a custom home builder, we adapt to our clients’ needs and keep them up-to-date based on their particular needs.
How quickly will you return my phone calls or emails?
All phone calls, texts and emails are answered promptly.
Do I have access to the job site throughout construction?
Yes. We want to ensure you have visibility on your home building progress.
When do I need to have decisions made about cabinets, paint colours, flooring, lighting, etc.?
We will walk you through the entire process and provide timelines, so you have the time you need to make the decisions that will turn your house into one of the best custom homes in Toronto.
What is your process for fixing things after the project is complete and I have moved in?
We take pride in our work and that’s what makes use one the best custom home builders in Toronto. Our homes have required very few repairs over the years but if problems do arise we take care of them immediately.
How long have you and your team been building homes in the Greater Toronto Area?
We have been building custom homes in Toronto and the GTA since 1995 and are very familiar with all municipalities.
What sets you apart from other custom home builders?
We make sure our clients are 100% satisfied with our custom homes. Only a handful of builders can guarantee that. We’ll go a step further and back it up with references from any home we’ve ever built.
How do you compare your workmanship to other builders?
The quality we provide far exceeds industry standards. Our custom homes have been and will continue to stand the test of time.
Can you provide references?
Yes, we do provide references and our clients are very enthusiastic when it comes to promoting us. Currently about 80% of our business comes from referrals of past customers.
What are completed projects I can visit?
We always have homes available for visits.
What type of warranty do you provide on your work?
A Tarion Warranty Corporation registration is necessary for homes built in Ontario as required by the Ontario New Home Warranties Plan Act. Because of our excellent service record, we’re one of the few custom home builders that can secure a Tarion Home Warranty without a deposit.
After reviewing my plans, what is your estimated time for completion?
Every custom home build is unique and there are a number of factors that impact the build process including land acquisition, surveying, permit approvals, architectural design, etc., as well as our clients' availability for review and signoffs. Completion time also varies depending on the municipality your house is located in as some cities issue permits faster than others. In general, a typical 4,000 square foot custom home will be completed within 12 months.
